NBA Player Prop Trend: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Points
SGA got off to a somewhat slow start, at least by his standards, to start the season, but he dropped 35 on Sunday against Atlanta, and now gets to face San Antonio on extra rest. Shai has scored 29+ points in 18 of his last 20 games on 2-days rest when playing 30+ minutes, averaging 34.6 points.
In the two games he played 30+ minutes against the Spurs last season, SGA had 31 and 32 points. As for player comps, we don’t have much to go on yet this early in the season, but Houston has played San Antonio twice already and Jalen Green dropped 29 and 36.
NBA Player Prop Trend: Deni Avdija Rebounds
Deni Avdija averaged 29.4 minutes through his first 3 games with Portland and had 7, 6, and 6 rebounds in those games. In their last game, against the Kings, Deni only played 25 minutes, as the Blazers were down by as much as 26 points early in the 4th quarter. He still managed to grab 4 rebounds in that game.
When Deni has played 26+ minutes, he has cleared 5.5 rebounds in 18 of his last 20 games, averaging 9 rebounds per game. For a player comp against the Clippers, Michael Porter Jr. played them on Saturday and had 9 rebounds on the same line of 5.5.
NBA Player Prop Trend: Toumani Camara Assists
Toumani Camara has 2+ assists in all 4 games this season, averaging 3.3. He actually has the 2nd highest assist to usage ratio of all players with 100+ minutes played this season, behind only Suns point guard Tyus Jones. Camara also had 8 assists in 4 games against the Clippers last season.
NBA Player Prop Trend: Wendell Carter Jr. Rebounds
Wendell Carter Jr. has the 3rd highest defensive rebounding percentage this season, behind only Giannis and Ivica Zubac. He’s grabbed 27% of the Magic’s defensive rebounds and has 10+ rebounds in all 4 games to start the year. And now gets to play the team that drafted him and traded him away to Orlando – the Chicago Bulls. Look for another solid rebounding game from the Magic big tonight.
