It’s a mini-NBA slate on this Wednesday, but still plenty of value to unlock in the player prop market. We’ve analyzed all six games with props.cash and found a few point guard plays that we are loving. Let’s dive in:
NBA Player Prop Trend: T.J. McConnell 7.5 Points
Haliburton’s injury moved McConnell back into the spotlight and he delivered. Now, with Haliburton back in the lineup, TJ is consistently getting 15+ minutes and has averaged 18.8 minutes in his three games since the All Star Break. He has cleared his line of 7.5 pts in 75% of games this season when playing 14-20 mins and 85% of games with 14-20 mins in which Haliburton played as well! TJ faces a NOP team that has given up some big games to secondary PGs of late, including Ayo Dosunmu (21), Amen Thompson (22), and Jordan Poole (19). Look for TJ to get his 15+ minutes and clear again tonight!
NBA Player Prop Trend: Mike Conley 18.5 Pts+Reb+Ast
Conley takes on MEM tonight for the fourth time this season. He has dominated the Grizzlies in each matchup with 32, 30, and 31 Pts+Reb+Ast. He also excels on zero days rest, clearing 18.5 Pts+Reb+Ast in 4 of 5 games on a back-to-back. This is not necessarily the best matchup for PGs over the last six weeks, but that trend may be changing with Terance Mann (36), Damian Lillard (36), Aaron Holiday (22), and Amen Thompson (33) all recording huge games vs MEM in the last two weeks. Let’s go with the veteran Conley to keep up his domination of the young MEM team!
NBA Player Prop Trend: D’Angelo Russell 17.5 Points
DLo has been heating up of late, clearing his points line in 11 of his last 15 games, averaging 22.1 pts during that period. He gets a prime matchup today vs his cross town rival Clippers who are giving up the 2nd most points to opposing point guards over the past 6 weeks. This includes huge games to De’Aaron Fox (33), SGA (31), Steph Curry (41), Cade Cunningham (22), and CJ McCollum (25). In Russell’s three games vs LAC this year he scored 27, 13, and 27. These three games have been decided by an average of 6.3 points, so we’re expecting another close one tonight requiring big minutes from the Lakers PG.
NBA Player Prop Trend: De’Aaron Fox 25.5 Points
The Kings take on the Nuggets for the fourth time this season and look to complete a season sweep of the defending champs. Fox is in a great matchup against a Denver team giving up the third most points to opposing point guards over the last six weeks. This includes big games to SGA (34), Scoot Henderson (30), and Fox himself (30). Fox has done well on the road this season, averaging 27.6 pts vs 26 pts at home. He’s cleared 25.5 pts in 13 of 17 road games when playing 35+ minutes. In his three prior matchups vs DEN this season Fox scored 26 pts in 38 mins, 15 pts in 28 mins, and 30 pts in 43 mins. The two games that he cleared were decided by 6 points or less. The one he did not, SAC blew out DEN by 29 pts and Fox only played 3 fourth quarter minutes. We see this being a much closer game tonight and Fox playing 35+ minutes again.
