MLB Player Prop Trend: Eduardo Rodriguez Walks Allowed
E-Rod has walked multiple hitters in eight of his last ten and fifteen of his last twenty appearances. Over the last month, the San Francisco Giants have the 13th-highest wRC+, the 10th-lowest K%, and the 6th-highest BB% against left-handed pitchers. Rodriguez’s 10.3% walk rate to LHHs and 10.8% walk rate to RHHs the last 30 days is not a good recipe when facing a Giants projected lineup that has five hitters with double-digit walk rates against LHP L30.
MLB Player Prop Trend: Michael McGreevy Earned Runs
McGreevy has allowed 3+ ER in six of his last seven home starts. Over the last two weeks, the Cincinnati Reds have the 15th wRC+, the 11th-highest K%, and the 8th-highest BB% against right-handed pitchers. McGreevy’s numbers against lefties over the last 30 days could get him in trouble today (5.86 xFIP / 12.1% K% / 8.6% BB% / 2.3 HR per 9 / 41.3% GB% / 0.409 wOBA allowed / 0.608 SLG allowed).
MLB Player Prop Trend: Jorge Polanco Hits
Polanco is on a 12-game hitting streak entering Tuesday night. His 250 wRC+ / .523 wOBA / 6.5% K% vs. RHP the last two weeks lines up well against Michael Wacha (4.15 xFIP / 16% K% / 2% BB% / 0 HR per 9 / 26.8% GB% / 0.258 wOBA allowed / 0.306 SLG allowed vs. lefties L30).
MLB Player Prop Today: Ryan Pepiot Pitching Outs
Pepiot has cleared 15+ pitching outs in 100% of home starts this season. Over the last 30 days, Pepiot has recorded a win in three of four starts and has recorded 15-straight innings without an earned run. Over the last two weeks, the Toronto Blue Jays have the 4th-highest wRC+, the 5th-lowest K%, and the 13th-highest BB% against right-handed pitchers. A tough matchup on paper for Pepiot, but considering Joe Boyle shut this offense down last night, we’ll take our chances with a much more trustworthy starter.
MLB Player Prop Trend: Cade Horton Hits Allowed
Horton has allowed fewer than 5 hits in nine of his last ten games. Over the last two weeks, the Pittsburgh Pirates have the lowest wRC+, the 7th-highest K%, and the 8th-highest BB% against right-handed pitchers. Jameson Taillon went 6 innings on Monday night – he allowed 0 ER and 2 hits in the contest.
