NBA Player Prop Trend: Cal Quantrill Earned Runs Allowed
The Dodgers have the highest-implied run total on Tuesday’s card (6.1). Cal Quantrill has allowed 3+ ER across four-straight starts, 5+ hits across four-straight starts, and has not earned a quality outing all season. He’ll have the daunting task of trying to survive in this one against a Dodgers offense that ranks 2nd in MLB against right-handed pitching over the last 30 days (121 wRC+), 2nd in MLB against righties over the last two weeks (143 wRC+), and scored 7 runs in Monday night’s contest.
NBA Player Prop Trend: Zack Wheeler Strikeouts
Zack Wheeler has recorded 18+ pitching outs in six of seven starts this season and has recorded 7+ strikeouts in six of those seven as well. He’ll now face a Rays team that was an above-average team if you’re filtering games since Opening Day, but now they rank at league average (100 wRC+) against righties over the past two weeks. This is going to be a very nice punch out spot for Wheeler, as the Rays are whiffing 26% of the time to righties since April 22nd – 2nd-most in MLB.
NBA Player Prop Trend: Matthew Liberatore Pitching Outs
Matthew Liberatore got unlucky in his last start, as he had to leave after just three innings of work due to a rain delay. If you take that start out, he has recorded 18+ pitching outs in all five of his appearances and has recorded a quality start in four of five. He’ll now take on a Pirates offense today that grades out as a league-average team against lefties over the last two weeks (99 wRC+). The Pirates are a collective 11/59 against Liberatore historically (.186).
NBA Player Prop Today: Zac Gallen Walks Allowed
Zac Gallen will face a Mets offense that ranks 5th-best against right-handed pitching over the last two weeks (129 wRC+) and is also walking at the 2nd-highest clip against righties in that stretch (11.9%). Gallen could certainly run into walk issues (12.5% vs. LHH / 10.5% vs. RHH), as the Mets have five hitters in the projected lineup with walk rates above 10% to righties.
NBA Player Prop Trend: Pablo Lopez Strikeouts
Pablo Lopez has struck out 6+ batters three starts in a row and will now face an underperforming Orioles offense that still grades out as an above-average unit vs. righties the last two weeks (110 wRC+). This will at least be a nice strikeout spot for Lopez, as the O’s are whiffing 25.7% of the time to righties in that stretch (3rd-most).
